The South Central Girls Softball League was established in 1998. The purpose of our league is to promote competitive softball in support of local high school programs. Teams must be made up of players from the same school district. We will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis if the player has no other SCGCSL or other traveling team opportunities. Those decisions are made each year by our Board of Directors. We sponsor five age groups: U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18. Our teams come from as far South as Edgerton and as far North as Baraboo, Stoughton is to the East and Barneveld to the West. The center of our operation is located near Madison, Wisconsin. Since 2008 we welcomed teams from the following communities:
The teams in our softball league are registered as Class B (community based) by the Amatuer Softball Association (ASA). League fees include your ASA registration, insurance for each player and coach and one dozen game balls. We also offer assistance in locating certified officials. The home team is responsible for paying the officials. We want the best experience possible for the players and coaches. Our goal is to promote competitive softball while retaining the fun atmosphere of a summer developmental league. New teams are always welcome! If you are interested in joining our league we encourage you to visit the registration page or contact any of our officers with your questions. |
